The founders of Smith Fidler/Colures have more than 50 years of combined experience in public relations, communications and marketing.
Kimber Smith, founding partner, is Smith Fidler/Colures' marketing outreach
and PR maven, with over 25 years of experience in communications.
Before co-founding Smith Fidler, Kimber worked with Burson-Marsteller's
corporate and technology practices in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. She
also worked with Seattle-based creative works./Luminor, spearheading the
agency's PR division. Prior to working with agencies, she directed landmark
work on the corporate side, from small start-ups to Fortune 100 global
brands. Kimber is effective at helping companies rise above the noise level,
and loves to weave a compelling story that engages and influences audiences.
She is a persuasive communicator with an internal toolbox that includes
strong writing skills, a vivid imagination and a solid belief that a person
can be both creative and practical.
Kimber earned her bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Texas, Austin and has attended graduate courses at the University of Southern California and University of California, Irvine. She has been a director and interim-president of the Australian Football Association of North America (AFANA) and has served on chapter boards for Forum for Women Entrepreneurs, Women's Advancement Network, the American Electronics Association, and the Public Relations Society of America.

Joe Fidler,
Joe Fidler, founding partner, is also Smith Fidler/Colures' resident geek.
Before co-founding the company, Joe spent over 20 years working in nearly
every department of a technology firm -- R&D, QA, sales, engineering,
marketing and management. Products under Joe's tutelage have won major
awards, and he's written and published white papers and technical articles
about specific technologies. Joe develops online tools and applications as
well as providing communications counsel and support. A native Australian,
Joe is savvy with international marketing and channel issues as well as
technology product marketing.
Joe holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology, Sydney. He is an active participant in the Open Source software community, and takes photos for a hobby.
